In 2008, the law firm of Fink & Boyle, P.A. named its newest partner, Geoffrey H. Gentile, Sr., and the firm changed its name to Fink, Boyle & Gentile, P.A.
The law firm of Fink & Boyle was established in 1994, originally as Fink & Lane. In 1996, Mark A. Boyle, Sr. became a partner in the firm, and the firm then became Fink & Boyle, P.A. Michael G. Fink, the founding partner, leads the firm today and Jane Lane, the other original partner in the firm, remains with the firm as Of Counsel, handling family law matters and family law mediations.
The firm's offices were at first located on Main Street near downtown Fort Myers. The space was adequate, though cramped, for the growing young firm. And, it wasn't long before the firm outgrew its space and was forced to look for larger accommodations.
In 1998, the perfect opportunity arose for the rapidly expanding law firm. A historic building on McGregor Boulevard, situated on a shady block just within sight of the Lee County courthouse, had become available. The building once served as a church. The original wooden building is long since gone, but a replacement church structure, built in 1944, was still in good condition. In about the mid 1970s, it was transformed into office space by George Sanders, a long-time county resident. When it came up for sale. Mr. Fink recognized its potential and immediately set to work on buying, renovation, and converting this old building into a modern law office. On October 1, 1999, Fink & Boyle, P.A. officially made its move into this historic building.
The firm's growth continued. In late 2003, the firm decided that additional space in Fort Myers would be necessary. Working with the City of Fort Myers, Mr. Fink negotiated to save the historic Towles Home and move it to a new site adjacent to the firm's building on McGregor. The Towles Home was built in 1895 and is the oldest house in Fort Myers. First a home for the Towles family, a local cattle rancher, the home later became a funeral home and then a bank. This purchase and move not only provided much needed office space, but it also saved this historic treasure from the bulldozer.
This is now the principal office of the firm, handling litigation matters of all kinds for countless business and individual clients.
